Best Golf Courses Inland Empire
The Inland Empire is comprised of several large cities that are located between Los Angeles and Palm Springs. Some of these larger cities are Riverside, Ontario, Fontana, Redlands, San Bernardino, Beaumont, Yucaipa, Chino, and Moreno Valley. Golf in the Inland Empire is thriving with some of the best courses you can play anywhere. Our top choices are Oak Quarry and Morongo Golf Club.
Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon
The Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon features two courses, the Legends and the Champions. Both courses feature amazing views, including the San Gorgonio and San Jacinto Mountain ranges in the distant background. They both consist of many challenging holes that will truly put your skills to the test. While housing has cropped up in the scenery, it is not so much that it intrudes on your pleasant golf excursion. Be sure to arrive early as they have one of the best practice facilities around.
Oak Quarry Golf Club
The Oak Quarry Golf Club in Riverside is an 18-hole golf course that opened in 2000. A winner of the CGCOA’s 2011 Course of the Year, this course winds through the beautiful scenery and terrain of the Jensen Quarry. One of this course’s most notable features that people rave about is the 14th hole, and it is considered to be a must-play.
The Country Club At Soboba Springs
The biggest hidden gem in all of Southern California is Soboba Golf Course. Soboba is located in San Jacinto, CA and is owned by The Soboba Band of Luiseno Indians. Currently they are building a casino and hotel located right off the 14th hole. During most of 2017 and early 2018 the golf course underwent a redesign. During the redesign they added an amazing par 4 which is as close as you can get to an island green. If you are really up for a challenge play from the tips and you’ll get to play hole #15 which measures 640+ yards. What really makes this course stand out is how well maintained it is. It truly is up there with most of the expensive California golf courses.
Sierra Lakes Golf Club
The Sierra Lakes Golf Club is situated at the foot of the San Bernardino Mountains in Fontana. This 18-hole, par-72 course was designed by Ted Robinson, and features creeks and lakes along the fairway, as well as bunkers, rocks, and brush areas. It is described as a fair but challenging course, with some excellent par-3 holes. Many of the holes have been given unique nicknames, including the “Monster” and the “Sneaky Tough.” The clubhouse is situated at the midway point, which provides an ideal opportunity to stop in for a snack and fuel up before getting back out on the course. Sierra Lakes also offers a pro shop, instruction, a restaurant, and tournament opportunities.
Oak Valley Golf Club
Located in Beaumont, the Oak Valley Golf Club provides beautiful scenery for a wonderful day of golf. With views of the San Gorgonio and San Jacinto mountains, there are plenty of wonderful, memorable vistas. The par-72 course also features rolling terrain and picturesque changes in elevations. With multiple teeing grounds, the course can range from 5,350 yards all the way up to 7,003 yards. It has hosted several different types of events, ranging from local clubs to hosting the PGA Tour Qualifying Tournament. Oak Valley Golf Club is a Landmark Signature design that provides sufficient challenges to golfers of all different skill levels.
Goose Creek Golf Club
Designed by Lee Schmidt and Brian Curley, the golf course of the Goose Creek Golf Club is located in Mira Loma, tucked into Hidden Valley Wildlife Area. The 18-hole winds along the Santa Ana River, stretching out over 6,556 yards. The course features fast greens, and a challenging par of 71. Despite the challenges of the course, it is still able to provide enjoyment for novice golfers as well as those who are more experienced. Along with the course, we also have a large practice facility that features a pitching green, a putting green and a bunker area, as well as qualified instructors if you need the assistance.
Eagle Glen Golf Club
One of the favorite golf courses of the Inland Island, the Eagle Glen Golf Club is tucked into Corona’s Cleveland National Forest. This championship course was designed by Gary Baird, and features 18 holes, with a par of 72, stretched out along 6,930 yards. Elevation changes of up to 400 feet provide an ample challenge for golfers of all levels, and with the surrounding natural scenery, you are sure to have an unforgettable experience. Eagle Glen Golf Club also features a full-service golf shop, a practice space, both group and private lessons, a meeting space, an outdoor event space and a casual dining restaurant.
Hidden Valley Golf Club
The Hidden Valley Golf Club, located in Norco, CA, offers a unique layout for southern California. The design of the course, done by Casey O’Callaghan Golf Course Design, preserves the landscape it is built upon, including the vegetation, the dry streams, and the boulders. Stretched out over 6,544 yards, Dos Lagos is a par-70 course that offers four sets of tees. It was awarded the Touchstone Golf Facility of the Year in 2012. Playing along the Temescal Valley River and the Cleveland National Forest, Dos Lagos offers a unique experience at an affordable price.
